April Favourites

Hey Everybody!!

So, today I am going to tell you my favourites for the month of April, I haven’t done a favourites post before and i’m super excited!!

My first favourite for this month is the Palmers Cocoa Butter moisturiser.

I purchased it after having a bad spell of eczema (I though i had gotten over it ) for £2.99 in a little shop called Victoria London (you can get it in most places). As most of my friends know this isn’t something I would normally buy as my skin is very sensitive so I tend to stick to the stuff I know doesn’t irritate me but in the spur of the moment I brought it and i’m glad I did! It has cleared my eczema up and has left my skin extremely soft, I would recommend it to anyone.

My next favourite is a pair of high-waisted jeans I brought from TopShop.

I don’t really know what to say about these apart from the could be the worlds comfiest; this was tried and tested on the 6 hour return journey from London. Oh and however comfy they may be they aren’t the cheapest at £40 but it was well worth the spend.

Another favourite for this month is the VO5 heat protect spray.

When I went to the hairdressers last month, my hairdresser recommended  VO5s Heat Protect  spray as I blow-dry my hair often and I can truly say it has changed my hair. Before using this my hair was dry and dull, but since using this product it has given my hair a healthy shine whilst protecting my hair from heat damage, LOVE IT!!!

The album I have been loving this month is Bastille’s Bad Blood.

I know this is not the newest release but I have recently discovered it and have fallen back in love with it, I mean is is constantly on repeat. At the moment my favourite song is Daniel In The Den but it keeps changing! I can’t wait for their next release.

See you soon,

Skincare Tag

Hey everybody,

Sorry for not posting a lot, I have been really busy, so to make up for it I am going to be doing the Skincare Tag!

Describe your skincare routine in 5 words.

Gentle, simple, soothing, hydrating, acne-fighting

Skin type?

Really depends on the season in, the summer I am really oily and in the winter I am really dry!

What is your favourite skincare product?

At the moment it is Molton Brown Kalahari Melon Cleansing Fluid.

Favourite acne product?

Well I have always loved Liz Earl Spot-On but they took it off their website a while back as they can no longer get one of the active ingredients so are reformulating it.

Face wipes YAY or NAY?

When traveling, yay, because they’re so hand. Overall ,nay, because of the way they leave my skin (no matter what brand), they leave my skin dry and itchy!

Toner YAY or NAY?

I have some but hardly ever use it… I don’t know why.

High end skincare or high end make up?

Well, I can’t really use drugstore brands so I already use both.

What’s the most unusual skincare product you’ve tried?

I haven’t really tried anything that unusual before!

You’re in a French Pharmacy and you can only pick one item – what is it?

Why French? Some sort of cleanser with snail slime, its meant to be good for skin… isn’t it?

Tell us your top skin tip.

DON’T FORGET TO CLEANSE!!! It helps your skin so much, it might seem a stupid thing to say but the amount of people who complain about their skin but don’t cleanse daily is unbelievable… it also helps to balance the pH level of your skin.

If you enjoyed reading my answers, do tag yourself! Don’t forget to comment if you do, I would love to read it!

See you soon,

Kalahari Melon Cleansing Fluid – Review

Hey everyone,

A couple of months back I ran out of my normal Liz Earl Cleanse and Polish, unable to order more I went to another of my trusted brands Molton Brown. In the shop a very lovely assistant suggested a few options and gave me the samples to try, after trying all of them I finally chose the Kalahari Melon Cleansing Fluid (on the pricier side at  £25).

Having used Cleanse and Polish for over 2 years, this was a new way to cleanse for me. Unlike the Cleanse and Polish being a cream the Kalahari Cleanser is runny consistency, which is a lot easier to work with and now I am totally hooked. The way it makes my skin feel during and after use was amazing.

The Cleansers 3 main ingredients are;

– Kalahari melon seed oil: full of fatty acids to help make skin more supple.
– Appleseed oil: for moisture.
– Safflower oil: packed with antioxidant vitamin E (to fight off the nasties).

This is a very natural cleanser and I give it 9 out of 10
